[CD] Vol. I: Fairbairn Meadows is Plaid On Flannel’s debut full-length album, released in 2012. The 12-song LP features a range of songs written by singer-songwriter Nolan Randall as early as 2006. With the goal of finding out what Plaid On Flannel’s sound could/should be. While establishing an artistic identity when it comes to original songwriting and performing.
The 50-minute album contains an eclectic mix of tunes. From the psychedelia of “Not Going Anywhere”, to the heavy metal of “Satan’s Highway”, along with the flamenco of “Another Planet”. The record has its share of twists and turns. Mostly featuring songs that were written with an acoustic guitar. While the overall sound is very much anchored in blues rock. With lead guitar setting the tone.
